Geographically, Indonesia is located on three earth plates that are very vulnerable to earthquakes and tsunami. The position of Indonesia which is on top of the equator makes it vulnerable to high rainfall and the onset of tropical storms. According to the UNISDR, these conditions, in addition to having many active volcanoes, are some of the main causes of Indonesia becoming the #1 country in the world that is most vulnerable to natural disasters.
WHAT FOR?
Based on evaluation and statistics, Indonesia ranks first in the population or the number of people who have died as a result of natural disasters. In all events of natural disasters, Education is one of the affected sectors. Everyone from students to teachers are always affected by the event of a natural disaster.
